How to Use Patent Finder

Search and analyze patents in your field

Step-by-Step Guide

1

Enter Your Patent Query

Enter a topic (2–30 words) describing the technology or innovation you want to research. Optionally add a description (5–400 words) and comma-separated additional search terms for more targeted results.

2

Set Search Parameters

Optionally filter by filing date range (Start Year / End Year), inventor name, assignee (company or institution), and target patent offices by country - including US (USPTO), EP (EPO), WO (WIPO/PCT), CN, KR, JP, and more.

3

Review Patent Results

Browse paginated results showing each patent's title, publication number, filing date, assignee, inventor, and abstract. The boolean query used for the search is displayed for transparency.

4

Filter and Sort Results

Use the result-page filters to narrow results by country, publication year, inventor, or assignee. Sort by newest or oldest, or search within the loaded results by keyword.

5

Export Results

Export your filtered or full result set as a CSV file for offline analysis, reporting, or sharing with your team.
